Here is a large and rare fossil ray of the species Libanopristis hiram from the Lebanon. Libanopristis hiram is one of the most beautiful Lebanese ray fossils ever. The rostrum of this Cretaceous sawing ray is of course particularly prominent. But also the shape of the Body is esthetically elegant. Libanopristis is a real fossil of character from the Cretaceous age of the Lebanon. This fossil offers an excellent level of detail. The preservation of the soft body is really remarkable. The individual muscle structures can be recognized in the body. This fossil Lebanon ray is about 560 mm long and it is a spectacular showpiece. | |||
