Here is a Trilobite from the lower devonian of Casablanca region in Morocco. This species of the family of the Asteropyginae was already described very early by Rudolf and Emma Richter in 1943 under open nomenclature as A. steropyge sp. A.. This species is often referred to as Metacanthina aff. barrandei (Oehlert, 1889) They provided a age of “Couvin stage” what represent mainly an Eifilian age. The Trilobite has only little compression it is a nice example of this unusual trilobite from a unusual trilobite locality in Maorocco. | |||
