This fossil shows an ammonite's jaw. These jaw elements are called aptychs. This Aptychus belongs to the genus Laevaptychus, presumably it belonged to an ammonite of the genus Aspidoceras. This Laevaptychus pair itself measures 41 x 27 mm as it is. | ||||
