This fossil is the root holdfast of a fossil crinoid of the species Eucalyptocrinus crassus from the Waldron Shale of Indiana. The branched crinoid root system was embedded in Sito in life position. This fossil crinoid rooting system itself measures about 76 x 74 mm.
