Products description

Here is a fossil Birdlike dinosaur feather in the Cretaceous Burma amber.
Fossils of Dinosaurs feather are among the most collectible inclusions in amber from Myanmar. The present dinosaur feather fossil itself measures approximately 7x 4 mm. The Burmite amber is nice and clear and shows the feather in nice detail.
This bird like dinosaur feather is likely to come from the cover plumage. It is completely preserved with shaft and vane.  Feathers as amber inclusions are generally extremely rare. Paradoxically, they are even more common in 100 million year old Burma amber, which is also known as Burmite, than in for example in the much younger Baltic amber.  However, a cretaceous dinosaur feather is always a rare and some kind of mesmerizing fossil.
