This is a fossil bird like dinosaur feather in the Cretaceous amber of Burma. Fossil feathers of bird-like dinosaurs are among the most desirable inclusions in amber from Myanmar. The present fossil dinosaur feather itself measures about 6 x 4 mm. It is embedded in a nice and clear Burmite Amber. The delicate detailed of the fossilized Dinosaur feather are well visible. As a special feature, this is the tip of the fossil feather. Fossil inclusions are actually not that rare in Burmese amber. However, bird and dinosaur feather are much rarer than insects’ fossils in the Burmite. | |||
