This interesting trilobite specimen from the Lower Devonian of Morocco shows a Paralejurus elayounensis on a pygidium of the species Scabrella pradoana. If fully prone would this Paralejures be about 63 mm long. The finding fracture was somewhat more complex but relatively low-loss, as shown by the UV images. Trilobites of the genus Scabrella are rare, even as isolated parts. These partials are often processed into these notorious Scabrella fake compositions. | |||
