Products description

This trilobite is a fantastic specimen of the genus Bellacartwrightia.
This Bellacartwrightia is native to the Middle Devonian region of New York. This rare trilobite species has not yet been formally described. It differs from other Bellacartwrightia species mainly by the prominent row of thorns on the spindle and the spines on the pygidium.  This variant is obviously one of the great rarities of the devonian of New York and is also rarely found in this detailed perseveration.
This specimen has a few minimal restorations along the glue line. Mainly behind the left eye and to the left of the spindle on the pygidium. You could also call this a wider glueing, if you prefer
The trilobite itself is about 43 mm long and is accompanied by a second, incomplete specimen of the same species. This Bellacartwrightia is a fantastic showpiece of a quite rare trilobite.
