Here is a beautiful and very large trilobite double of the species Cambropallas telesto from the middle Cambrian of Morocco. It is remarkable that the olenelloid trilobite Cambropallas telesto occurs with Acadoparadoxides in the Cephalopyge notabilis Zone. Olenelloid trilobites are characteristic of the Lower Cambrian, but since Cambropallas has been found together with Acadoparadoxides, there is no doubt about its Middle Cambrian age. The trilobites show very few restorations, which are mainly located along the glue lines. In the left specimen, there is a restauration in the area of the left cheek spine. The right specimen has a restoration on the right eye and in the lower thorax. The two trilobites themselves are about 186 mm and 192 mm long. The piece is prepared as a split pair, both the positive and the negative side have been preserved. This is a large and impressive showpiece from the Middle Cambrian of Morocco. | |||
