Here is a very detailed trilobite of the genus Metacanthina from the Ihander Formation of the southern Maider Basin. Presumably, this specimen can still be placed in the genus Metacanthina maderensis. However, it should be noted that granulation is particularly pronounced in this specimen. Three spindle rings have been partially restored. Presumably, the spindle rings 4-6 were partially molded from the negative (Casted external mould). The trilobite itself is about 21 mm wide and would be about 34 mm long if prone. | |||
