Here is a beautiful ammonite plate with several specimens of the species Trachyceras multituberculatum from the Upper Triassic of southern China. These ammonites come from the dark marl schists and limestones of the Xiaowa Formation, from which the articulated Traumatocrinus finds are also known. The largest ammonite on this plate measures about 80 mm in diameter. | |||
