Here is a rare Cambrian arthropod fossil of the species Isoxys paradoxus from the famous soft-tissue fossil site in Chengjiang. Isoxys is characterized by its bivalved carapace with distinctive spinelike tips at both the front and rear ends. The posterior spine on Isoxys paradoxus is notably longer compared to other species within its genus. The fossil itself is approximately 40 mm in length. | |||
