Here is a nice stromatolite which clearly shows both the upper surface structure and the fine-layerd structure in the polished cross section. These Jurassic stromatolites from Thüster Berg are probably among the classics of paleontology. Due to the special sequence of facies in the Münder marl, is the cauliflower-like surface is preserved on these stromatolites. | |||
