| Here is a fossil leaf of the species Cinnamomum lanceolatum from the Bois d'Asson site. Cinnamomum lanceolatum is a representative of the cinnamon trees. The fossil shows some very fine details. It is about 65 mm long and has several traces of bite marks. | |||
