Products description

This fossil Solnhofen lobster of the species Palaeastacus fuciformis is preserved with exceptional detail and contrast. Normally we would expect this colour and contrast in a Palaeastacus from the Zandt region. However, this specimen was found in Eichstätt, where Palaeastacus fuciformis is found much lees frequently .
The fossil crab itself measures about 26 mm and would be about 44 mm long when prone.
Both measurements are without the antennas.
