Products description

This Moroccan trilobite is a Diademaproetus antatlasius from the Jebel Oufaten locality.
This species is characterized by its prominently developed, spoon-shaped preglabellar field.

Under UV light, the complex fracture lines of the fossil are clearly visible. The missing section on the right genal spine is also evident. During extraction, a small fragment was lost. Overall, this specimen shows more of a broad glue join rather than a true restoration. No coloration has been applied. While possible, it was intentionally avoided to keep the piece honest and unaltered. This is explicitly stated here and also demonstrates the value of UV imaging on Morocco Trilobites.

The trilobite measures approximately 32 mm in width and would be about 51 mm in length when fully outstretched.
