Here is a rare and beautiful study piece of a fossil bat from messel of the species Palaeochiropteryx tupaiodon. It is an incomplete counterpart. And therefore for an inexpensive study pice. However, the head with the sharp teeth is actually preserved on this side. The supposedly better side of this fossil bat has no head. Respectively, this should be cast from the negative. An ear is remarkably detailed on this side. The skull measures approximately 19 mm in length. This is a beautiful and interesting example of special quality. | |||
