Here is example of a trilobite of the species Ovalocephalus tetrasulcatus from the upper Ordovician of Yunnan. This trilobite species was originally discriped from the Holy Cross Mountains in Poland under the genus Hammatocnemis. Ovalocephalus tetrasulcatus is relatively rare but widespread, it is also proven from Turkey, Iran and numerous localities in China. It is known in various subspecies and numerous synonyms. |
