This is the pygidium of Paralejurus brongniarti from the Lower Devonian of Bohemia (Czech Republic). The species is of particular interest because of its wide geographic distribution. For example, P. brongniarti cf. menanensis ¦najdr, 1960 is reported relatively regularly from the Ihandar and Assa formations of Morocco. Subspecies or regional varieties of Paralejurus brongniarti have also been described from the Devonian of Spain.
This Pygidium is about 22 mm long.
