Here is a fossil brittle star of the species Geocoma carinata from the classical site of Zandt. The Geocoma measures about 60 x 39 mm as it is on the plate. As a special feature, an arm is pathological due to a healed, previous injury. This is almost completely regenerated. Such injuries have been observed from time to time at Geocoma from Zand. |
