Here is an inexpensive example of a juvenile fossil fish from the Green River Formation in Wyoming. The distinctive position of the fins and the shape of the head strongly indicate the species Mioplosus labracoides. Juvenile forms of fossil fish from the Green River Formation are relatively rare in the market. This example measures approximately 24 mm in length.
