Products description


This is a rare trilobite of the species Asaphellus homfrayi from the Lower Ordovician of Shropshire. It represents an exuvia, a molted exoskeleton. As a result, the genal spines (cheeks) are missing, but in result the outline of the cephalon is especially well visibile . The fossil is present in both positive and negative relief. The specimen of Asaphellus homfrayi measures approximately 20 mm in length.
