Phacopidina micheli TROMELIN 1877

On this gorgeous plate from the Travasot Formation of Guichen are two trilobites of the species Phacopidina micheli.

Eodalmanitina macrophthalma (Brongniart, 1822)

Here is a uncommon trilobite of the species Dalmanitina macrophthalma Bretange from the Llandeilian of Bretagne, France. This trilobite shows nicely the remarkable long genal spine and the pygidial spine as well.

Heliopyge troaonensis Morzadec,1983

Hier haben wir eine sehr seltene Heliopyge troaonensis aus dem mittleren Devon von Rade de Brest in Frankreich.
Der Trilobit zeigt für diesen Fundort eine überdurchschnittlich detailreiche Erhaltung.
Trilobiten sind stark Fazies abhängig, so wird man diese Art vermutlich nie in einer  Darstellung wie  z.B. in Gees oder vom Jebel Oufaten finden. Zudem zeigt das Fossil nur eine geringe tektonische Beanspruchung, welche im armoricanischen Massiv sehr ausgeprägt sein kann.
Zur Altersstellung lässt sich noch anmerken, dass die Funde von Heliopyge troaonensis aus Rade de Brest ins  höhrer „Couvinien“ gestellt werden,  welches durch das Auftreten der Solitärkoralle Calceola sandalina charakterisiert wird.

Mesolimulus walchi

Here is a fragmentary negative of a Mesolimulus walchi from Solnhofen.
Due the preparation works got two triangular pieces of the plate lost in the lower part of the limulus. Those are replaced to complete the optic of this plate.
This piece is a very inexpensive example of a Solnhofen Limulus.

The Cephalon of the Limulus is about 28 mm wide.
