Products description

This plate shows several fossil Devonian land plants of the species Taeniocrada dubia.
Taeniocrada dubia is an extinct plant from the Lower Devonian.
The genus is generally placed among the rhyniophytes, but this assignment is not without controversy.
It had a leafless, flattened stem that branched dichotomous and had a distinct midrib that was considered a conductive tissue. The middle strand consisted of tubes of different diameters with helical thickenings that were part of the original cell wall.
The present slab represents a beautiful showpiece from the classic locality of Alken on the Moselle.
