Products description

This is a small but detailed regular sea urchin which belongs to the genus Phymosoma. This fossil echinoid from Painten snows many spines. These spine  have a longitudinal striated ornamentation. Also the anus or genital plates are preserve, the Phymosoma is embedded  from the top side . The fossil sea urchin itself measures about 8 mm in diameter, without the spines.
